Movie Trivia Game – Test Your Film Knowledge

Movie trivia without the trivia-night spreadsheet: screenshots, actor photos and soundtracks from 4,400+ films and series, scored in real time.

About the Movie Trivia Game – Test Your Film Knowledge

UltiQuiz turns movie trivia into a visual game. Instead of reading questions, you look at a frame from the film, a photo of an actor or listen to a soundtrack clip and identify the title. Every answer is scored instantly with speed and streak bonuses, so a ten-round game takes about three minutes.

The library spans 4,400+ movies and TV series from 1918 to today, tagged by genre, year and popularity. Five difficulty tiers scale from Iconic (Titanic, Star Wars, The Dark Knight) to Master (art-house, cult and world cinema), and an Anime tier covers Japanese animation. Genre pages – horror, action, comedy, sci-fi and more – and decade pages from the 70s to the 2010s start themed games with one click.

Hosting a trivia night? Cast the game to a TV, set Endless mode and let the table shout answers – or point everyone to the 24/7 live stream, where viewers compete by typing A, B, C or D in chat.

Frequently asked questions

What kind of movie trivia questions are there?

Every question is visual or audio: "Which movie is this screenshot from?", "Who is this actor?", "Which film does this soundtrack belong to?" and "Which TV series is this scene from?". Answers are multiple choice or typed.

Can I use UltiQuiz for a pub quiz or party?

Yes. Play on a shared screen, pick a genre or decade the group knows, and use Endless mode so the game continues until the first wrong answer. The live stream works as a ready-made trivia night as well.

Is this quiz free?

Yes. Every UltiQuiz mode is completely free, has no ads and needs no registration. An optional account saves your XP, achievements and leaderboard rank.

How difficult is it?

The landing page starts a balanced game, but you can switch between five difficulty tiers on the homepage: Iconic, Popular, Expert, Master and Anime. Tiers are based on how many people have rated each title.
